Introduction
This weekend we’re wrapping up Paul’s letter to the Colossians. We’ve approached this letter experientially: paying attention to how we feel as we read it, examining the ways verses have been used to harm, then pushing ourselves to see beyond that to the ways they were intended to heal, and challenging ourselves to apply our rehabilitated understanding. We’re approaching the final chapter in the same spirit.
Paul concluded his letter, in part, with a list of personal greetings and expressions of gratitude, inviting us to name and celebrate those in our community for whom we’re thankful. He also encouraged community engagement, which we’ll express by running through the Walker Park Splash Pad (just as Paul intended, obviously).

Lord’s Prayer
Christ, who taught us to pray saying:
Our Father who is in heaven, hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come, your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread and forgive us our sins
as we forgive those who’ve sinned against us.
Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.
For yours is the kingdom, and the power,
and the glory forever. Amen.
