Introduction

“Delay, Deny, Defend” are often called the “three D’s” that insurance companies use to avoid paying the full amount or any amount at all when an event occurs. Anyone who’s ever had to file a claim knows that this is, at best, an uphill climb. I don’t have the time or energy to go into why this is, but it’s well documented. However, insurance companies aren’t the only ones who employ these tactics. If we’re honest, we’ve all played this game when it comes to being called out on something or held accountable for something we’re responsible for. You might be asking “Who me?” My point exactly. Seems something similar was going on in Corinth.

Let’s not delay and instead dig right in.

Grace and peace, y’all,

John Ray and the teaching team

Lord’s Prayer

Christ, who taught us to pray saying:

Our Father who is in heaven, hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come, your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread and forgive us our sins
as we forgive those who’ve sinned against us.
Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.
For yours is the kingdom, and the power,
and the glory forever. Amen.
