I often tell people Jane Ray has been married to three different men, I probably now need to make that four. They have all been named John Ray, but when I think about the John Ray she married and the person I am now, I see such a vast difference. But I also see some consistent through lines, some patterns and practices that have endured from day one. We all grow and change, but we also all have parts of us that are ever present. Churches are the same way. The Grace Church I joined over twenty years ago is very different than the Vine and Branch Church it is becoming. So what’s changed and what’s stayed the same? Let’s dig in and talk about it this Sunday.

Lord’s Prayer
Christ, who taught us to pray saying:
Our Father who is in heaven, hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come, your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread and forgive us our sins
as we forgive those who’ve sinned against us.
Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.
