Introduction
It’s estimated that the vast majority of all our communication is non-verbal. There’s even something called “the 55/38/7 Formula”. Researcher Albert Mehrabian theorized that in face to face interactions, 55% of the transmitted information is non-verbal, 38% is communicated through tone of voice and only 7% is communicated through word choice.
While no theory will perfectly fit every interaction or experience, I think he’s on to something here. We can even see it reflected in our text for this week.
